Lenovo replacing some problem batteries

Lenovo announced Friday it will replace the batteries in several of its ThinkPad laptops, which displays error messages.

Some users report battery display error messages that read: “irreparable harm” or “The battery can not be loaded” and others say their battery only works for a very short time, or experience a sudden drop the fuel gauge. It is known to occur on the ThinkPad models: T60, T61, R60, R61, X60 and X61.

Although it does not represent a security risk, and not a product recall, Lenovo said it will give people a replacement battery.
